When used as an adjective, the word พร้อม (phráwm) means ‘is ready’ or ‘is prepared’. When used in this way, it describes the state of a person or thing being mentally, physically, or situationally ready to begin or handle something. It often appears after the subject and before a verb, showing readiness to act – subject + พร้อม (phráwm) + verb. Look at the sentence examples below:

ฉันพร้อมไปแล้ว

(chǎn phráwm bpāi láew)
I’m ready to go now.
Literal: I ready go already.

เขาพร้อมเริ่มงานพรุ่งนี้

(khǎo phráwm rêuhm ngāan phrûng-née)
He is ready to start work tomorrow.
Literal: He ready start work tomorrow.

ผมพร้อมตัดสินใจเกี่ยวกับเรื่องนี้แล้ว

(phǒm phráwm dtàd-sǐn-jāi gìew-gàb rêuang née láew)
I’m ready to make a decision on this matter.
Literal: I ready to decide about matter this already.

พวกเราพร้อมที่จะออกเดินทางแล้ว

(phûak-rāo phráwm thêe-jà àwk dēuhn-thāang láew)
We are ready to set off on our journey.
Literal: We ready to out walk-way already.
