Advice for this month: Six of Wands
The Six of Wands is a card of recognition, victory, and moving forward with confidence. It often appears when you’ve been working hard and the effort is finally paying off, even if it hasn’t always felt visible. This month, it serves as a gentle reminder to pause and acknowledge all that you’ve accomplished — the projects completed, the lessons learned, the milestones reached, and even the quiet progress that may have gone unnoticed.
Recognising these achievements doesn’t just celebrate past effort — it also fuels your confidence and motivation for the work ahead. The card encourages you to step forward with assurance, trusting in your abilities, your experience, and the path you’ve chosen. By honouring what you’ve already done, you create a strong foundation for the new projects, challenges, and opportunities that October may bring.
Recognition can come in many forms: from yourself, from those around you, or from the subtle signs that your efforts are making a difference. The Six of Wands encourages you to embrace these victories, however big or small, and let them inspire you to move forward with clarity, courage, and self-belief.
Victory doesn’t always mean public applause or grand achievements. Often, it’s the steady progress, the persistence through challenges, and the quiet moments where you simply chose to keep going that matter most. These are real wins — the building blocks of lasting success and personal growth.
Think of the Six of Wands as a moment of celebration after the challenges represented by the Five of Wands. You’ve navigated struggles, overcome obstacles, and persevered through competition or chaos. This card asks you to recognise your efforts, honour your victories, and take pride in how far you’ve come. Doing so fuels your confidence and prepares you for the continued challenges ahead, as represented by the Seven of Wands.
Importantly, the Six of Wands can also bring new opportunities in work, career, and creative projects. When your dedication and skill are noticed, it naturally draws attention — whether from colleagues, clients, or collaborators — and can lead to new responsibilities, projects, or partnerships. Success and recognition create momentum, making this a great time to explore paths that expand your professional or creative reach.
In essence, the Six of Wands reminds us that victory isn’t just about what’s behind us — it’s also about what lies ahead. Celebrate your accomplishments, take pride in your growth, and let your confidence guide you toward the exciting opportunities this month may bring.

For me personally, this card is particularly meaningful this month.
It feels like a gentle nudge to pause and reflect on all the work I’ve done so far this year — from creating eBooks and vocabulary lists to teaching lessons and building my new website. There’s been a lot of effort behind the scenes, and the Six of Wands is reminding me to acknowledge these achievements, no matter how small they may seem.
October is already shaping up to be a busy month. A new MOD course is starting next week, which means I’m focusing on preparing lessons, exercises, and guidance for my students. It’s exciting work, but it will definitely require the energy and perseverance of the Seven of Wands to keep everything moving smoothly.
At the same time, I’m planning new eBooks to complement the projects I’ve already completed. I’m especially looking forward to diving into Five Simple Sentence Structures in Thai, which will help learners gain confidence in forming sentences. In between, I also hope to create a fresh vocabulary list — Thai Adjectives for Beginners (Level A1) — a practical resource for anyone wanting to expand their Thai words knowledge.
The Six of Wands encourages me to see all of these plans as opportunities for growth and recognition. It’s a reminder that the dedication and effort I put into the challenges of the Five of Wands stage will open doors to new opportunities and provide the motivation to move confidently through the Seven of Wands stage.
And as we step into October, I hope this month brings you moments to celebrate your own victories, big or small. Take time to acknowledge the effort you’ve put in, let it fuel your confidence, and embrace the opportunities that come your way. May this month be filled with growth, inspiration, and the joy of seeing your hard work pay off. Here’s to a wonderful October for all of us!
With all my heart, 💛 — Urai
